Bench Warmer Pants

Track pant retired into something else.

Two waistbands stacked, one functional, one decorative, the second one printed in plaid that reads as patch but stitches as integrated. The cord pulls through the inner band and ties over the outer one. Stripes run down the leg in parallel, vertical, the kind of detail that used to mean track and now means something older than that. Cut wide through the thigh, wider through the calf, cropped at the ankle so the hem sits raw above whatever's on the foot. Fleece-weight cotton blend. The kind of fabric that softens by the third wear and stays that way.

Size note

Cut intentionally wide through the leg with cropped ankle length. Length sits at or above ankle bone for average wearer (5'7" to 5'10"). Taller frames may find the crop sits higher. Size down for fitted hip, keep size for fuller drape.
